Overview
Designed by the US Navy for the valiant crew of warships serving in WW2, the N-1 Deck Coat became a symbol of integrity, fortitude, and courage. Entering service in the final years of the war, the N-1 served in nearly every theater and returned home with a generation to rebuild tomorrow.
Wearable armor against tempestuous weather, Watchtower features hidden storm cuffs for heat retention and a button-down wind flap for draft protection. A luxurious wool shearling lines the body and collar for breathable comfort, and insulated sleeves provide exceptional warmth without bulk or binding.
Corduroy-lined exterior hand pockets and interior besom pocket snap closed for security. Watchtower's deep bi-swing back provides a full range of motion and room to accommodate midlayers. A button-back throat latch and zigzag-reinforced undercollar provide extra protection against the elements.
Crafted from Bedford Cord, corduroy's rugged and durable cousin, Watchtower is built for a lifetime of service. This dense heritage workwear fabric is woven for us by the famed Brisbane Moss mill in Lancashire, UK and finished with a durable water repellent. Since 1858, Brisbane Moss has produced fine corduroy-type and moleskin fabrics for adventures royal and common.
