Overview
The Valence Down Jacket is a fully insulated jacket with an integrated hood, built to deliver dependable warmth in cold inhospitable conditions. Designed for long approaches, early starts, and the kind of weather that shifts without warning, Valence keeps heat close without adding bulk. Horizontal baffle construction holds the insulation in place to maintain stable loft and consistent warmth, and the streamlined silhouette provides comfortable room for a range of base layers.
The 700 fill power 90/10 grey goose down delivers sustained warmth with a resilient, long-wearing structure. A 20D nylon shell treated with PFAS-free C0 WR slows moisture uptake and helps preserve loft when the weather turns unsettled. A soft fleece chin guard improves comfort during long hours outside, while integrated thumb holes anchor the sleeves for smooth layering and a secure interface with gloves. Elastic binding at the cuffs helps retain heat while allowing natural movement.
The insulated three piece hood includes a moldable bill for reliable structure in shifting winds, and a two way YKK number 5 reverse coil zipper secures the center front with controlled venting during active use. Two high chest pockets sit close to the center zip for access while wearing a pack, supported by two lower hand pockets for warmth and daily carry. A straight hem keeps the profile composed whether Valence is worn on its own or paired with a hard shell.
