Since its widespread adoption by Britain's MOD in the early seventies, the humble G10 strap has lived at the apex of function and utilitarian style, owing a sterling reputation of dependability to a rich service record of securing the world’s most iconic tool watches to the wrists of its bravest men and women. Built to elevate that heritage for modern explorers, our Quantum Watch Strap blends 21st century precision machining with artisanal craftsmanship and extraordinary materials for the ultimate in adventure wristwear.
Designed and developed in collaboration with legendary knifemaker Todd Rexford of Rexford Knives, Quantum was built to refine even the most minute facets of premium, expedition-grade gear. Machined entirely in-house at Rexford Knives' mountaintop laboratory in Colorado and sewn in-house in Triple Aught Design's San Francisco prototyping facility, Quantum pays homage to its military-spec progenitors, while reflecting the superlative craftsmanship of the timepieces that it is meant to safeguard on the journeys of your life.
Buckle
The webbing path's bezier curve through Quantum's buckle was carefully engineered to minimize torquing. The dual-bevel ramp features additional recessing on the sides for axial flex, and an angled pawl keeps the buckle as flat as possible under your wrist.
Titanium
Quantum's buckle and strap keepers are machined from certified USA 6AL4V titanium on an Okuma 5-axis CNC machine. Every part is 3D machined and contoured, blending design elegance and human factor engineering for long-wearing comfort and timeless style.
Keepers
Unlike most G10 straps, which use stamped, C-shaped strap keepers, Quantum features solid keepers that are machined from billet stock with a unique ramped and beveled slot. The resulting visual balance helps maintain focus on the timepiece itself.
Timeless Design
Reflecting the Japanese design principle of shibumi, Quantum's apparent simplicity conceals subtle complexities.
From A Block Of Raw Material to A Finished Product
The hardware for every Quantum strap begins life as a solid block of pure, unused 6AL4V titanium that’s been fully sourced in the United States, and rigorously tracked through every exchange to ensure that the highest possible levels of quality and transparency are reflected in the final product.
