Vitale Barberis Canonico, operating continuously since 1663, produces the finest wool fabric in the world. Prized for their durability and wrinkle-resistance, worsted wools of this caliber are usually reserved for finest suits by the most skilled tailors.

Highland uses VBC's most durable worsted, made from 100% Merino wool, and is built to last. Traditional, single button barrel cuffs, dual secure chest pockets, and easy care make the Highland Shirt an easy traveling companion.

Adaptive Performance

Merino has a unique ability to regulate body temperature. During exertion or warm weather, it wicks away moisture from your body and releases it on the surface. This evaporative mechanism has a cooling effect, enhancing comfort while keeping you dry. In cooler weather, wool provides dynamic warmth, even when wet.

Easy Repairs

The buttons are secured on webbing with bartacks for greater staying power and include a slotted button that slides onto the webbing for quick repair in the field.

Adaptive Capability

This adaptive capability makes merino wool garments highly flexible, which is critical if you need to count on a small set of gear to handle unpredictable conditions. Merino is also naturally fire retardant and odor resistant, providing a measure of assurance in the field.
