Overview
From naval workwear to the campuses of mid-century New England, the popover has occupied a unique place between shirt and outer layer.
The Haven CPO draws from both.
Its foundation comes from the traditional Chief Petty Officer shirt: straightforward, durable and designed around utility. That structure is tempered by the easy character of the American popover, a style that became an icon of East Coast sportswear during the middle of the twentieth century.
For this special edition, another piece of American history enters the story.
Developed during WWII, Frogskin was among the earliest camouflage patterns to see substantial combat use by American forces and became particularly associated with Marines operating throughout the Pacific. Its irregular fields of green, brown and earth tones were designed to break up the human silhouette across complex terrain.
The original military cloth was produced in rugged cotton herringbone twill. This edition carries that material heritage forward through a distinctive Japanese double-sided HBT: classic green Frogskin defines the exterior, while desert Frogskin lies beneath the surface.
The result is a garment built from layers of history without becoming a reproduction.
Naval utility. New England style. Pacific camouflage.
Reinterpreted as the Haven CPO Popover.
