Every animal leaves a distinct mark. The skilled tracker is able to decipher the code and remain undetected through the chase.
Bears have five toes on each foot and walk on their soles, so they generally do not leave distinct tracks. Bear trails can often be seen where bears approach favorite marking trees. These trails are especially distinctive because bears frequently stomp-walk as they approach such trees. Stomp-walking is a form of scent-marking in which bears stomp, twist, and slide each footstep. Our Tracker Paw Patch is a subtle nod to our state's flag and the endless trails of adventure that lay before us.
Inspired by military morale patches born out of the Vietnam conflict, our patches are designed to mount on the Velcro® of our apparel and equipment.
