The slipjoint is an archetypal knife design rooted firmly in the past. Estimates place the earliest slipjoint design to have originated sometime in the 1600s. Nick Swan decided to update a classic EDC by retaining the clean lines of the classic while using modern materials.
Simplicity remains paramount for a modern slipjoint and Nick has built this knife with quality materials and little fuss or aggrandizement. Using G10 for the handle has allowed Nick to make and incredibly light and slim pocket knife that disappears until you need it. Following classic lines the handle has a nod to modern cues with our logo milled into a titanium shield and intricate custom pivot. The classic looking drop point blade has a fuller that runs the length of the blade and acts as a nail nick. The blade and backspring are finished in a fine bead peen finish. A robust spring and double detent is the calling card of the slip joint and this one does not disappoint. The result is a gentleman’s pocket knife with the DNA of your grandfather’s knife and the aesthetics of a modern master craftsman.
CTS-HXP blade with bead peen Finish. Traditional drop point blade profile with a full length fuller and nail nick.
Robust action on the slipjoint spring ensures concerted pressure is necessary to close the blade. Two position detent (walk and talk) further aids safe opening and closing.
The ergonomics of handle are perfect for everyday carry and use for all but the heaviest work. The drop butt handle creates control, and the extensive chamfering reduces the grip’s bite.
The G10 frame features our signature three fullers.
