Jared Oeser seamlessly blends the best of old and new design cues with exacting tolerances to produce stunning heirloom quality knives. The Tengu is thoroughly modern, but feels like a classic design in hand. Precision tolerances equate to a concert of parts when deploying the flipper of the hand rubbed modified Tanto blade. Made from premium S45VN steel, it rides on ceramic bearings when opening and is held fast by a ceramic detent when closed.
The J Oeser Tengu TAD Edition is available in a choice of handles:
Black linear carbon fiber slabs over red G10 liners. This handle features a custom geared bronzed titanium pivot, collar and screws. A brown Micarta badge is inset into the presentation side of the handle.
Antique Bone Paper Micarta slabs over red G10 liners. This handle features a custom zirconium pivot collar with a blackened titanium pivot and screws. A carbon fiber badge is inset into the presentation side of the handle.
Finer details include Oeser’s logo milled into the spine of the blade while ours is milled into the presentation side badge, and a multi layered G10 backspacer. The 3D milled titanium pocket clip has our signature topo pattern laser applied and is unique to each knife. Nested inside the titanium liner lock, this series is numbered 1 through 12. Finally, Jared includes a leather pocket slip emblazoned with our logo, a microfiber display mat and a certificate. The Jared Oeser Tengu TAD Edition will excel as a daily companion or as a centerpiece of a collection for generations to come.
