Overview
Through treacherous seas and metropolitan avenues, peacoats have been the hallmark of intrepid adventurers across the globe for centuries.
Tracing its lineage back to the Dutch and British mariners of the late 18th century, peacoats protected generations of sailors from the harsh conditions at sea. Built from wind and weatherproof melton cloth and featuring a generously oversized collar, the classic double-breasted silhouette is closely tailored to maintain core temperature without limiting mobility.

ELITE HERITAGE
Founded in 1837, the same year Queen Victoria came to the British throne, Abraham Moon is one of the last remaining vertical woollen mills in Great Britain. They continue to dye, spin and weave in the same building they’ve occupied since 1902.
CAPABLE COMFORT
A strategic array of internal pocketing provides secure and ergonomic storage. External handwarmer pockets feature wide wale corduroy for warmth, and a generous collar and traditional throat latch provide exceptional weather protection.
CLASSIC BUILD
Elegantly structured and classically tailored, Dreadnaught features a trapunto quilted collar stand and traditional zigzag stitching on the undercollar. Fully lined with cupro, a durable and sustainable silk-like fabric, Dreadnaught is easy to don and doff even over knitwear layers.
