Robert Amsler has spent two years developing the AMP, an incredibly strong magnetic bottle opener inspired by the lines of a karambit and his own fascination with magnets. The Amp has a Neodymium N52 magnet—the strongest type of permanent magnet commercially available—mounted in a titanium body and secured between two magnetic stainless steel plates. The N52 magnet offers more than 10 pounds of pull strength when attached to a magnetic surface. Because of the magnet’s strength the AMP can be considered nearly permanent when mounted, and then easily breaks off and is ideal for edc carry due to its size. The carbidized ambidextrous bottle opener of the Amp opens caps from the center rather than prying off from the edge of the seal, while always opening bottles regardless of orientation. Additional the Amp has a carbidized flathead screwdriver tip and lanyard hole for easy carry.
